Protagorian’s Portable Penthouse
Wondrous Item, Artifact (Requires Attunement)
It is said that the famed enchanter Protagorian spent every day in a different inn. After one particularly bad experience involving a lost drunk, a mutated bed bug, and several angry minor demons, he created this 3 ft. by 2 ft. traveler's trunk to replace the discomfort of inns with a luxury apartment that he could take with him on his travels.
The portable penthouse is a large apartment that can be entered by climbing inside the trunk. The penthouse can change its layout in 1d4 hours depending on the desire of the owner.
While attuned to the penthouse, the owner can set a passphrase which creates a near impassable magical lock on the trunk that only they can open. It is impossible to move the trunk while it is locked.
The penthouse contains a number of invisible magical servants that do household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and rearranging the penthouse’s many rooms upon the owner’s whim.
A new owner can only attune the penthouse in the Room of Attunment inside the trunk itself.
